The Institute for Girls’ Development promotes excellence in psychotherapeutic services and programs for girls and their families. Our asset-based model of comprehensive services and programs is based on current research on girls’ development and effective psychotherapeutic interventions. We pride ourselves in providing quality individual, parent, family and group counseling, and team collaboration in a private practice.  Through our Center for Education on Girls’ Development, we provide empowering community education and training for parents, schools, religious organizations and community programs serving girls. 

Minimum requirements: M.A. in Counseling or Psychology (Ph.D. or Psy.D. preferred from an APA accredited school). Candidates must have a  background in working with children, adolescents, families, and groups; a passion for working with girls, young women and their families; and motivation for practice building and professional development activities. Computer literacy in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is required. Bilingual/bi-cultural applicants are encouraged to apply.

Consultation and Training: Clinicians meet together regularly for case consultation, and collaboration.  Because of our unique model of services and programs, clinicians receive ongoing quality training, participate in study groups and in professional development seminars.
