I embark on a journey with each client toward wellness by working compassionately, empathically, and collaboratively with clients and their families, utilizing an integrative approach informed by a multicultural framework tailored specifically to the needs of each individual, family, or group. I am most passionate about restoring hope to children, teens and families on their journey to wellness. This includes being an advocate and support within a safe therapeutic relationship by utilizing a relational and strengths-based style. I have witnessed the hope and healing of clients being restored along their path to wellness and optimal functioning and truly delight to see the blossoming of each client’s true, authentic, and unique multi-dimensional self.
Specialties: Empowering women and girls in the areas of developing and maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships, building self-esteem, positive identity formation, treatment and healing of trauma; fostering positive body image and holistic view of self, developing healthy coping strategies to manage stress, depression, and anxiety; promoting utilization of cultural strengths and values to overcome obstacles, heal, and build optimal levels of functioning; incorporation of faith/spirituality as a coping resource; stress management, cultivation of gratitude, empowerment to nurture inherent strengths.
