Morgan Fletcher, Psy.D.
Licensed Psychologist (PSY 30548)
Child and Adolescent Specialty Practice: Group Therapy Coordinator

I enjoy working with children, teens, and families to help them meet their goals for interpersonal, emotional, behavioral, academic, and familial functioning.  I utilize a strengths-based, client-centered approach, with an emphasis on creating a safe space to process life’s challenges.

I use my training and experience, coupled with warmth and compassion, to provide tangible skills girls can apply to reinforce their strengths and cope with difficult issues.  It is my goal to provide support to girls and young women, helping them to feel heard, understood, respected, and capable of change.

Specialties:

I provide support for growth in the following areas:

• Treatment of OCD and other anxiety disorders
• Social skills training
• Exposure with Response Prevention
• Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
• Client-centered therapy
• Family and parent consultations

Additional Information about my Specialties:

I have significant experience working with children, teens, and adults with anxiety. My approach is both client-centered and CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) based. I help clients to recognize patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors – with the goal of reducing anxiety. While I work with clients to build skills to cope with anxiety, I also believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship to create a safe space to process emotions and build self-efficacy.

I also have a passion for working with parents of anxious children and teens.  Parenting a child with anxiety is hard work that requires specific tools to help your child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.  I empower parents to find solutions that work for their families and to build their own strategies for self-care – with the goal of improving their relationships with their anxious children.

Group Therapy Coordinator:

I am thrilled to lead our group therapy program. Group therapy is an excellent way to build peer support and a sense of community around issues that affect girls.  Group therapy also provides an opportunity for real-time practice of newly learned skills within a safe and supportive environment.  At the Institute, we currently offer over twenty therapy groups that address issues children, teens, and women are facing today.  Learn more about our therapy groups.
