Natalie Fung
Community Education Workshop Facilitator
Pronouns: She / Her / Hers
I have been fortunate to be surrounded by positive female role models throughout my life. These women have taught me the importance of resilience, compassion, determination, and embracing my authentic self. My goal is to inspire girls to spread kindness, have the strength to overcome challenges, and develop their authentic selves.
I strongly believe in the message of female empowerment. It is important for girls to develop confidence to advocate for themselves and others. I’m grateful to be a Community Education Workshop Facilitator for the Institute of Girls’ Development, where I can help cultivate a safe space based on respect, trust, and supporting one another with the intention that the girls can grow in confidence.
Other Experiences: In my past volunteer experiences working with special needs students, I helped facilitate creative and fun programs. Through these experiences, I developed a passion for working with children – and I understand the importance of advocating for those who cannot do so themselves.
Education: Pursuing a B.A in Psychology, Loyola Marymount University (expected graduation date 2022)
Mission: My aim is to help girls embrace their authentic selves with confidence, cultivate compassion towards others, and develop resilience to overcome life’s obstacles and setbacks.
