Maryanne Mueller

Maryanne Mueller, Intake Coordinator and Workshop Coordinator

Although Maryanne’s dual positions as intake coordinator and workshop coordinator are different at their core, each role gives her the opportunity to serve the community and help girls and families thrive.

As Intake Coordinator, she is the first point of contact for families and individuals seeking services at the Institute. Her initial phone interviews with prospective clients allow her to shepherd them through the intake process and then connect them with a therapist and/or group that best fits their needs. She finds it most rewarding when “our clients communicate their relief when we provide them with new-found hope.”

As Workshop Coordinator, she co-leads programs that foster mindfulness and family empowerment with girls of all ages and has the opportunity to witness girls and their mothers or kin “laughing, dancing and playing together.”

Past Experience: Maryanne worked as a Behavior Specialist for Pacific Child and Family Associates in Pasadena, where she provided one-on-one Applied Behavior Analysis therapy to children on the spectrum. Her case load included working with clients both in school and in home-based settings. After working in this setting, Maryanne decided that she had found her life-long calling in the mental health field.

Education: BA in Psychology and BA in Theology at Pepperdine University.
