Sandra Villacorta, PsyD
Pronouns: She / Her / Hers
Hello/Hola! I’m Dr. Sandra Villacorta (she/they), a therapist who is passionate about helping kids, teens, young adults, and parents grow into confident, healthy individuals. I’m so proud of you for considering therapy—it’s a brave first step.
I’m excited to bring my personal and professional experience to families like yours. As a first-generation, queer Latine therapist with Salvadoran roots from South Central Los Angeles, I understand how important it is to find a therapist who “gets” your child’s world—whether it’s school stress, identity questions, big emotions, or life transitions.
I work with children, teens, and families through a supportive, respectful, and fun approach. I use creative activities, art, and evidence-based techniques (like CBT, DBT, and play-based therapy) to help your child open up, express themselves, and build emotional tools for life.
I also work with young adults, and I get how complicated life can feel—between school, family pressure, relationships, identity, and everything else. Whether you’re figuring out who you are, healing from trauma, or just want someone to talk to, I’m here to support you.
We’ll build a safe space where you can show up as your authentic self. I use a mix of therapeutic approaches along with feminist therapy and liberation psychology—designed to empower you, not judge you. We’ll talk about what you want to talk about—family, anxiety, gender and identity exploration, depression, cultural expectations, body image, relationships, trauma, or even just life stress. Nothing is too small or too big. You’re the expert in your life—I’m just here to walk beside you and help you get where you want to go.
Whether you or your child is dealing with anxiety, ADHD, mood changes, or navigating life’s challenges—I’m here to help you thrive.
