Gabriela Ramos
Community Education Workshop Facilitator

My passion for working with girls stems from the desire to build a sense of community and to advocate for the value in mentorship. I believe that there is strength in unity, and when we come together we truly learn so much about ourselves and others around us.

Specialties: I am a professional dancer, and I’ve been dancing for 15+ years. I love to draw from my extensive background in dance and the expressive arts to facilitate workshops for girls. I use my background in psychology and my understanding of development to teach engaging skills that foster social and emotional growth.

Education:

  • Pursuing an M.A. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Marital and Family Therapy at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology (expected graduation date: June, 2019)
    • Continuing in Psy.D. program (starting June, 2019)
  • BA in Psychology from Florida State University, 2014

Other Experience:  My prior positions facilitating girl empowerment groups, providing leadership as a high school mentor, and working with children and adolescents in grades K through 8 have been fundamental in my experience.

Mission: I strive to help others find the courage to define their authentic selves and the power to believe in themselves, for in this way we can build the foundation of our self-worth and self-esteem.
